Product Name: | Recombinant Human PD-L1 / B7-H1 Protein with C-terminal 6xHis tag |
Background: | The CD274 gene in humans encodes a protein known as programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), cluster of differentiation 274 (CD274), or B7 homolog 1 (B7-H1). PD-L1 is a type 1 transmembrane protein that suppresses the adaptive arm of immune systems during specific events such as pregnancy, tissue allografts, autoimmune illness, and hepatitis. PD-L1 interacts to the PD-1 receptor, which is located on activated T cells, B cells, and myeloid cells, to control activation or inhibition. PD-L1 binding to PD-1 promotes ligand-induced TCR down-modulation during antigen presentation to naive T lymphocytes by increasing the activity of the E3 ubiquitin ligase CBL-b. |
