| Product Name: | Recombinant Human CTLA-4 Protein with C-terminal human IgG1 Fc & His-tag |
| Background: | Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), also known as cluster of differentiation 152 (CD152), is a protein receptor that acts as an immune checkpoint, inhibiting immune responses. CTLA-4 is constitutively produced in regulatory T cells but only increased in conventional T cells following activation, a characteristic that is especially noticeable in malignancy. When it binds to CD80 or CD86 on antigen-presenting cells' surfaces, it works as a "off" switch. It is encoded by the CTLA4 gene in humans. |
